The research group of the Institute of Neuroscience of the UAB has come to the fore recently with a new experiment on rats and exemplifies the connection of the brain region to the descriptive memory functions of the human beings. It has also been affirmed by the researchers, that a substantial component of the prefrontal cortex however continues to play a major role in the social transmission of food preference. To them the greatest credibility of this research rests on its notion of facilitating towards the obtaining of knowledge about how this type of memory functions and even in the future there is a high possibility of this information being effectively utilized for the initiation of a new kind of treatment for the noxious diseases affecting the memory, like the Alzheimer's disease.

Then what is declarative memory? It is to be noted that in general a declarative memory is best described as a stretchy, conscience and associative type of memory, which has its foundation on the relations between different stimuli.
